Peter Avelar
Hailing from the Pacific Northwest region of the United States, Peter is a fingerstyle guitarist, teacher, husband and father of two who believes that the war which humanity is presently engaged in must be fought on multiple fronts. As such, Peter enlisted himself in the Sonic division of the Cultural legion of the army of Truth & Freedom and has sworn an oath to cast out the nonsense and the wicked from this earth through purifying harmonies, transcendental melodies and frequency-elevating vibrations.
Dance once more
Everybody wants to dance once more
Do not want to be bound by chords
Have our thoughts tied up in knots by yours
Oh, no no no no no no
Dance once more
Everybody wants to dance once more
We do not want to be bound by chords
Have our thoughts tied up in knots by yoursWe are as free as birds in flight
We challenge lies we hear each night
No we won’t pledge our allegiance
In the morning in all nations
You’ll hear us shout our consternationAnd in the evening on TV
Monsieur le bon has said to me
Handing down our sentence
We stand with irreverence
But always with eleganceDance once more
Everybody wants to dance once more
We do not want to be bound by chords
Have our thoughts tied up in knots by yours
Oh, no no no no no no
Dance once more
Everybody wants to dance once more
We do not want to be bound by chords
Have our thoughts tied up in knots by yoursOn a train, or on the bus
What a kerfuffle, what a fuss
Crazy rules we have to follow
And woe to him who thinks
And woe to him who dancesEvery foolish law they make
Every rule they put in place
Sees our trust fly away
So insistent to confine
What’s rightly yours and rightly mine
Oh no no no no noDance once more
Everybody wants to dance once more
We do not want to be bound by chords
Have our thoughts tied up in knots by yours
Oh, no no no no no no
Dance once more
Everybody wants to dance once more
We do not want to be bound by chords
Have our thoughts tied up in knots by yoursLet us not be so impressed
Titles often meaningless
peddling fear of existence
Learn to keep them at a distance
For this will strengthen our resistance
Oh no no no no no noDance once more
Everybody wants to dance once more
We do not want to be bound by chords
Have our thoughts tied up in knots by yours
Oh, no no no no no no
Dance once more
Everybody wants to dance once more
We do not want to be bound by chords
Have our thoughts tied up in knots by yours
Oh no no no no no noDance once more
Everybody wants to dance once more
We do not want to be bound by chords
Have our thoughts tied up in knots by yours
Oh, no no no no no no
Dance Once More is my protest song and I want to thank HK for making this brilliant piece of music and for making it speak to so many people around the world. I originally got involved with this song for The World Freedom Alliance, where I just did a simple live cover with just me and my guitar. Then we decided it would be nice to do a proper production of this song for this CD. And that’s where I want to thank Peter for being such a great person to work with, he is not only a brilliant musician but also very devoted and hardworking. I hope you all can enjoy and remember this song.“
